The case is made from Stainless Steel and is in good condition with light surface scratching which fits with the age. It’s a large case which is typical of the 1970s TV case, measuring 42.5mm wide with a 40mm lug-to-lug measurement.

 

The dial has a dark blue sunburst finish and is in good condition.  The dial is very colourful  and has an excellent combination with red, blue and white which isn’t commonly seen. It has raised baton hour markers in a silver tone. The original Tritium lume dots sit on the end of the baton hour markers.

The Tachymetre scale sits around the outside of the dial and is in very good condition. The date window sits at 6 O’clock and is still white with clear red numerals. There is some speckled Patina, mainly in the centre of the dial, where it has corroded slightly.

 

 

The hands are original in and are Steel base with red and white paint. The hour and minute hands are in-filled with lume which is original and in good condition.

 

The crystal is the original and is an acrylic lens. It is in average condition with light surface scratching and two slightly deeper dints which are visible in the photos. The crown appears original and is made of Stainless Steel. It functions as it should, setting the hands and date.

 

The case back is Stainless Steel and is in poor-average condition. The engravings are still visible. There are some deeper scratches from poor opening attempts which are visible in the images.

 

It is signed: Stainless Steel, Swiss Made, Water Resistant, Antimagnetic, Incabloc

The strap is a brand new Blue NATO style strap.  It will fit any wrist size within reason.

 

 

The movement is original and is a Valjoux 7734. It is a chronograph movement, with subsecond counter, 30/45min counter, 60s Chronograph counter and a date function

 It has 17 jewels, a frequency of 18,000 BPH and a power reserve of 45 hours.

It was produced from 1969-1978.

 

The watch has been recently serviced by one of our watchmakers.

 

The watch has a daily gain of +1 seconds, with an amplitude of 320 and a beat error of 0.0m/s.

The case back is Stainless Steel and is in poor-average condition. The caseback appears unpolished, apart from natural wear against the wrist. The engravings are still visible. There are some deeper scratches from poor opening attempts which are visible in the images.
