1950s Benrus Triple Date pointing art deco style watch, 17 jewel Model CK2, 10k GF.

 
This is a beautiful and rare watch, comprising design features from the art deco period 
and the mid-century modern period. The space age obsession can clearly be seen in the
comet like tail case. 
 
Overall the watch is in good condition, with no wear to gold fill.
 
The watch will be good for some years of wear before a service is recommended. Currently gaining approximately 3 minutes a day. 
It has an amplitude of 220 degrees.

Dial:
The dial has a spider like crazing on it which does not appear to compromise the dial.
This adds an interesting patina that is quite desirable.
 
Hands:
The hands are original and free of bending and corrosion. 
 
Glass:
The crystal is in good original condition with only light surface scratching.
 
Crown:
Appears original, winds and sets as it should.
 
Case:
A case that is in great condition with no wear to the gold fill.
 
Caseback:
Maintains original graining still, light surface scratching.
 
Strap:
A new 16mm genuine leather strap.
 
Movement:
Will be good for some years of wear before a service is recommended. Currently gaining approximately 3 minutes a day.
