Art Deco 1920's Silver Wyler watch, exploding dial, curved rectangular, Swiss made.
 
Art Deco in a nutshell. A large, Swiss, curved rectangular watch, measuring 27mm x 42mm. 
The exploding dial really tops off the Deco design.
 
A beautiful Art Deco watch. It has a lovingly restored dial which appears to date to 30 years ago or so.
 
It is keeping time to within -2 minutes a day. There are further details below.

Dial:
The dial is beautiful and well finished. The exploding numerals are a hallmark of Art Deco indulgence. 
A restored dial. It would not appear to be recent so would be a 30 year old restoration. 
Considering the case shape and age of the watch, the restoration would have been faithful to the original design.
 
 
Hands:
The hour and minute hands are period correct and have no signs of wear or corrosion. 
The sub-second hand is too long for the track so is a replacement.
 
Glass:
The crystal is a recent replacement that fits the curvature well.
 
Crown:
The crown is a replacement but fits flush to the case and suits the watch.
 
Case:
The case is silver and closes and seals well, with no deep scratches or dents. Hallmarks to the back.
 
Caseback:
Silver, light surface scratching and hallmarks. Marked 0.925, C.H. with Bear mark for Swiss Silver.
 
Strap:
A new 19mm genuine leather strap, Darlena, hand made in Germany. For fixed lugs.
 
 
Movement:
A 1920s Swiss lever escapement with 15 jewels, AS 168 calibre. Keeping time to -2 minutes a day with an amplitude of 235 and a beat error of 4.0m/s.
