All original, 1940s Rotary ATP WW2 Military issue watch, rare example unmolested.

This watch is ideal for collectors as whilst it remains originality in all aspects, it is nicely aged in a "Wabi-Sabi" manner.

Rotary were one of 17 companies selected to provide watches to the British military for military issue to troops during WW2, from 1939-1945.

ATP stands for either "Army Trade Pattern" or "Army Trade Piece".

The Rotary ATP watch is often the favourite for collectors and had one of the lowest production runs, making it hard to come by, let alone good examples. The Rotary serial numbers are often in the format of Mxxxx.

Only 25 examples have came on to the open market in the last 4 years.

All ATP watches were created with similar specifications to make them standard issue. However, there were slight differences between the manufacturers. For instance, the Rotary ATP watch was actually one of the largest cases at 33.5mm and featured horizontal luminous markers at 3 and 6 O’clock, whilst the 9 O’clock mark has above it a dot with the horizontal line
