All original 1916 Silver Semi Hunter trench watch by Dreadnought, 30mm case size.
 
The semi hunter cover has a window to see the hands and tell the time via the painted numerals and minute and hour track.
 
Imported by George Stockwell through London Assay office in 1916/17. The date letter is U and the silver quality is .925 (Sterling). 
 
Dial: 
The dial is in excellent, original condition. This watch has a beautiful enamel dial  The dial has no stand out scratches or markings. 
 
Hands:
The hands are un-bent and un-corroded. They are thermally blued and original, with two hour pointers on the hour hand to allow you to tell the time with the cover open or closed.
 
Glass:
The glass is original and in is dirty in places but with no deep marks.
 
Crown:
The crown is original, with a beautiful coin edge. It fits flush to the case and winds and sets well.
 
Case: 
The case is in strong condition with only light surface scratches and tarnishing that is consistent with age. A very nice original case that hasn't been polished.
 
Case back:
Strong condition, with hinges all functioning well.
 
Strap:
The watch is on a period correct leather strap.
 
Movement:
The movement is a manual wind Swiss made movement. It keeps time to just under -60 seconds a day. The amplitude is strong at 287 degrees, and beat error is 2.2ms.
