For sale we have a 2012 Tag Heuer Formula 1 Alarm watch, reference WAU111A, with Quartz movement and original box and paperwork. 
 
The watch is described by Tag Heuer as “A rugged sports alarm watch in the Formula 1 family, built of Stainless-Steel and water resistant to 200 meters, it is the perfect introduction to a motor-racing legend”.
 
It is a model that is still produced today with some slight case design changes, retailing for £1500. This model represents a great opportunity to purchase a fun and rugged watch for a fraction of the retail price. The watch is a great example, with very little wear.
 
The case measures 42mm wide without crown and is Stainless Steel. A circular main body with a brushed finishes and a neat, hooded lug design hiding the bracelet to the top and bottom of the case. The bezel is Stainless and has a circular brushed finish with black numerals and tag logo at 12 O’clock. The outside of the bezel is polished with notched edges and is fixed in place. The screwback case is signed with the reference WAU111A, with Tag Heuer engraving and chequered Formula 1 flag finish. To the right of the case is the screw-down crown with tag Heuer logo.
 
The black dial has a satin shine to the Opaline finish. It has inset sub-dials for the alarm and sub-seconds. Both have textured concentric circles with white Arabic numerals. The dial is neatly balanced with large applied 12 to the top of the dial and large date window to 6 O’clock. The date windows are bevelled, with a black date disc with white Arabic numerals. The hour markers are neat mirror polished applied markers in a silver tone. They have a white lume strip. The minute track consists of simple dashes and Arabic numerals in graduations of 5.
 
The silver hands are mirror polished with lume in-fill, with silver sub-second hand and silver alarm hands, with clear red tips. These are protected by the sapphire crystal.
 
The watch is presented on its original Stainless bracelet with the code BA0858. It has a signed buckle and divers’ extension. It has a fold over clasp with security clasp. It will currently fit up to an 8” wrist diameter, whilst it has a spare link.
 
The movement is a Ronda 4120.B, 7 jewel quartz movement. It has hours, minutes, small seconds, alarm and large date. It has had a new battery fitted and functions as it should.

The dial is in perfect original condition. 
 
Hands: 
The hands are original, in perfect condition. 
 
Glass: 
The sapphire crystal is original and is in perfect condition.
 
Crown: 
The crown is original and is in good condition with Tag Heuer logo signed. It screws down as it should. 
 
Bezel:
The bezel has a circular brushed finish and is in good condition with no wear to the black tone markers. It has light surface scratching associated with light wear.
 
Case:
The case is in good original condition. It is Stainless Steel and is circular with a brushed finish and hooded lug design. It has light surface scratching associated with light wear. 
 
Caseback:
The case back is Stainless Steel and is in very good original condition. It has some very small and light scratches associated with light wear.
 
Strap: 
The watch is on its original Stainless bracelet with the code BA0858. It has a signed buckle and divers’ extension. It is in good original condition. There are some light surface marks on the clasp. It will currently fit up to an 8” wrist diameter. There is also a spare link.
 
Movement: 
The movement is a Ronda 4120.B, 7 jewel quartz movement. It has hours, minutes, small seconds, alarm and large date.
 
It has had a new battery fitted. The service history is unknown, but the movement is in excellent condition cosmetically and functionally. It has a monthly variation of 2 seconds a month.
