One of the few true icons in the watch world. A modern incarnation of the watch made into a legend by Steve Mcqueen in Le Mans 1971. This is not a carbon copy, but a fantastic example of the evolution of the model, with modern day design and technological advancements.

It has a 39mm square case with matching square sub-registers, and red, white and blue colour scheme. There is a thick and impressive square sapphire crystal protecting the dial. Underneath is a standout blue sunburst dial with square sub-dials in white, inset into the dial. It has a circular white minute/second track with luminous hour plots. Around the outside are the applied mirror polished hour markers. At 6 O’clock is the classic repositioned date window, which adds balance to the dial with the logo at 12 O’clock. The case uses a mixture of brushed finishes with polished bevels to create an eye-catching case. To the side it has the square chronograph pushers and large chunky crown.

To the rear is the solid case back which is held in place with four screws. It has a sapphire crystal exhibition back which acts as a window to the calibre 12 automatic chronograph movement. It is a quality movement, with linear stripes on the partially skeletonised rotor, with perlage on the movement. It has a jewel count of 59 with a modular construction. It is keeping time to within -7 seconds a day.

The watch is presented on its original leather strap, with folding push button deployment clasp signed Tag Heuer.

The watch comes complete with its inner box, outer box, paperwork, warranty card and Tag Heuer travel case.
