The watch comes with its original instruction booklet and warranty card signed 2003, as well as spare links for the bracelet.
The dial is expertly designed and is the best dial variation I have seen on a Longines Prescence. The dial has a coin edge finish to the exterior, with a circular grained chapter ring. The Gold baton hour markers are plotted on this chapter ring, with thin black lines indicating the in-between minutes. The central section of the dial has a textured sunburst finish which radiates from the centre. The dial is signed with the Longines logo below 12 o’clock, with the winged hour-glass logo. To three o’clock is the date window which is a gold tone with black Arabic numerals. The dial is signed Swiss under 6 o’clock.
The hands are original and are of Sword style, in a gold tone. There is a central second hand.
All are in perfect condition.
The sapphire crystal is original and is in excellent original condition, with no obvious marks.
The crown is original and is in excellent condition. It has a neat coin edge finish and is signed with the hourglass logo.
The bezel is gold plated and has a polished finish. It has light surface scratching. The sides of the case are also polished. They are in good condition, but there are multiple light surface scratches. The gold plating on the lugs remains complete, with no wear.
The case back is a snap back, formed of Stainless Steel. It has some larger surface scratches due to poor attempts at opening the back. It has a personal engraving from George boulter & Co. LTD for 25 years of service, from June 1978-2003.
It is signed with the reference L4.720.2, marked as all Stainless Steel, Swiss made, with the serial number 31240484.
The watch is on it’s original matching bracelet and is in very good condition.
The movement is a Longines calibre L.263.2, which is a 7 jewel quartz calibre, marked by Longines, but it is originally an ETA 955.412. The watch has a date function, as well as hours, minutes and central second hand.
