Here we have a 1990s Tiffany & Co Atlas watch reference M0640. It has the 31mm Sterling silver case with the unusual lug design and eye catching Roman numeral hour markers to the bezel. It has the silver dial with the light brushed linear finish. It has restrained signing with the ‘Tiffany & Co’ name below 12 o’clock, with the ‘Swiss Made’ signing to the base. The snap on case back is hallmarked, with the Tiffany & Co name. Inside it has further signing and hallmarking. The movement is an ETA 256.041 Quartz calibre, which is keeping accurate time, with a new battery fitted. It comes on the original Tiffany strap with the Tiffany & Co signed buckle. It also comes with the Tiffany watch box. 
 
The dial is simple with the subtle linear satin finish. It is signed with the ‘Tiffany & Co’ name with the ‘Swiss made’ signing to the base. The hands are of a simple baton style with the black tone, which provides a strong contrast against the silver dial. 
 
The case measures 31mm wide with a depth of under 6mm which makes it a very neat wear for either a gent or a lady. 
 
The case is designed in such a manner where the bezel takes centre stage. It provides a well sized canvas for the radial roman numeral hour markers. This is a lovely piece of design which makes the watch stand out. The lugs have the thin straight sections extending from the case with the cut cylindrical sections coming inwards. This is an interesting cut out lug design in which the strap sits beneath. The sides of the case are flat with the polished plated finish. To the right is the neat original crown. The case back snaps into place and has the ‘Tiffany & Co’ name to the top. It is also marked with the US patent number, reference number M0640 and serial number. Inside it is further marked with the Tiffany & Co name and Sterling silver signing. It also has the hallmarking. 
 
The movement is a reliable and good quality ETA 256.041 quartz calibre. It has a jewel count of 6 and displays the hours and minutes. It has had a new battery fitted and keeps accurate time.
 
The watch is on the original Tiffany signed strap. The Tiffany signing has rubbed to the leather with wear. The buckle is formed of Stainless Steel and has the ‘Tiffany & Co’ name engraved. 
 
The watch is nestled with a classic Tiffany blue watch box.
 
The watch is modelled on a 7” wrist circumference.

Case:
During this period brands chrome plated a silver case to ensure it maintained a shine. With age the chrome wears and the darker tarnished silver tone underneath shows. This case has wear to the chrome plating in areas all over, as visible in the images.
 
Caseback:
The case back has the same plating with some areas of wear. The engraving is good and clear.
 
Strap:
The watch comes on the original Tiffany leather strap. It has the original steel buckle. It has wear associated with age. It will fit up to a 7.25” wrist circumference.
