For sale we have a good example of a 1980s/90s Citizen Eagle 7 Day-date Automatic watch. It is two-tone and is of Datejust style with its fluted bezel and tapered 36mm case. It is paired with its original Jubilee style bracelet.
A homage to the Rolex Datejust, the Citizen Eagle 7 very clearly has a Stainless Oyster style case, with a brushed finish to the top of the lugs and polished case sides. It tapers to fit the wrist neatly. The fluted bezel is well designed and catches the light. To the rear is a Stainless Steel screwback with circular brushed finishing and Citizen engraving. The watch is on its original Citizen two tone bracelet. It will fit up to a 7 ¾ inch wrist diameter. It is in good original condition with light surface scratching.
The dial is excellent with its silver satin linear brushed finish. The Citizen logo is applied, with eagle 7 logo. The gold tone baton hour markers are applied. There is an applied gold tone date window surround. There are simple dash markers with lume pips above the hours.The hands are of facetted pencil style with lume in-fill
Inside is a true workhorse movement, the Miyota 8200. It has a jewel count of 21 and is automatic, with sweep second and quick set day and date. It has a frequency of 21,600 BPH. It can also be manually wound. It has a daily variation of + 10 seconds a day with an amplitude of 230 degrees and a beat error of 1.2m/s.
A fun and well-made watch resembling a Datejust from Citizen, yet this watch has it’s own merit. Its dependable and has all the functions you need for a regular vintage/retro watch that is wearable.

The hands are original. They are of facetted pencil style with lume in-fill. They are in excellent condition.
Glass:
The mineral crystal is original and is in good condition with no scratching.
Crown:
The crown is original and is gold plated, with no wear to the plating.
Case:
The case is Stainless Steel and is in good original condition. It has light surface scratching.
The fluted bezel is gold plated and is in good condition with no wear.
Caseback:
The screw back is Stainless Steel and has a circular grained finish. It is in good original condition with only light surface scratching. All engraving is clear.
Strap:
The watch is on its original Citizen two tone bracelet. It will fit up to a 7 ¾ inch wrist diameter. It is in good original condition with light surface scratching.
Movement:
The movement is a Miyota 8200. It has a jewel count of 21 and is automatic, with sweep second and quick set day and date. It has a frequency of 21,600 BPH. It can also be manually wound.
