For sale we have a classic Steel Omega wristwatch from the start of the 1980s. It is of a dress/sporty style on its Steel bracelet, with a clean silver dial, date window and manual wind movement. The Steel case is well proportioned measuring 35mm x 35mm, with a 42mm lug-to-lug measurement. It comes with its original signed paperwork from 1981.
The watch is in good original condition with light surface scratching associated with age and respectable wear.
The dial has a silver satin tone with a sunburst finish and is in very good original condition.. The hour markers are of baton style and are three-dimensional and applied. They have a black panel to the centre which ties in nicely with the hand design. There are lume plots to the end of the hour batons. The date window is at 3 O’clock. It is a very clean design and a well-balanced dial. The Omega applied logo is the the centre below 12, with Omega signing. To the base the dial is signed Swiss Made. The dial is surrounded by a silver mirror finish chapter ring.
The circular case is made from Stainless Steel and is in good original condition with light surface scratching. The case has a polished finish. The lugs are of a straight design with a slight taper. The case back is Stainless Steel and is in good condition. It has the Omega logo to the rear and is marked tool 9070. Inside, it is signed: Acier Inoxydable, Omega Watch Co, Swiss Made, 136 0104.
The hands are original. They are of Sword style and are a silver tone with a black centre panel. They are in good condition with no signs of bending or corrosion. They have lume in-fill to the tips.
The acrylic crystal is a replacement and is in great condition with no marking. The crown is the original Omega crown and is made of Stainless Steel.
It is on its original Stainless Steel Omega bracelet. It is a nicely designed bracelet with toothed links. It has an 18mm lug width and has an Omega signed clasp. It will fit up to an 8.5” wrist diameter. It has the reference 1193 with the original 672 endlinks.
The movement is an Omega calibre 1030. It is manual wind with a sweep second hand. It has a quickset date function and hacking seconds. It has a jewel count of 17, a hi-beat frequency of 28,800 BPH and a power reserve of 45 hours.
The service history is unknown, however the movement is in good condition keeping good time. It has a daily variation of -10 seconds, with an amplitude of 275 and a beat error of 0.0m/s.
