This is a good example of the Santos Galbee reference 2961. It is from the 1980s, being ladies size at 24mm x 24mm. It has a two tone Stainless and 18k gold case. The case is Stainless Steel, whilst the bezel and bracelet screws are lovely 18k gold accents. The dial is a rare and beautiful slate grey tone with gold signing and vertical brushed finish. The hands are of the Sword style and are a gold tone. The classic notched crown sits on the side, with the facetted sapphire inset within the face of the crown. The mix of brushed and polished finishes on the case defines the standout design, drawing the eye to different aspects. The rear of the case back is signed: Cartier, Automatique, with the serial number 0902XXXXX.
The watch comes on its original Cartier Stainless Steel and 18ct gold screw bracelet. It has an 14mm lug width. It is signed Cartier, with the Cartier logo on the clasp. The bracelet will fit up to a 7” wrist diameter. It is in good condition. It has the code 0284. It has a good brushed finish.
The movement inside is a Cartier 2670. It is an automatic movement. It is keeping time to within +10 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 300 degrees and a beat error of 0.0m/s.

Dial:
The dial has a rare slate grey finish. It has a vertical brushed finish to the whole of the dial. Cartier is signed in gold at 12 O’clock, whilst the dial is signed Swiss at 6 O’clock. It is a very good dial, with no noticeable marking.
Hands:
The hands are original and of sword style and are in very good condition. They are a gold tone finish which shines in the light.
Glass:
The crystal is the original Sapphire crystal. It is in very good condition with no noticeable marks.
Crown:
The crown is the original Cartier crown. It winds and sets as it should and is in excellent condition. It has the cut Sapphire set in the end.
Bezel:
The bezel is 18k yellow gold and is in good original condition. It has some light surface scratching as expected with age. It has not been polished. The screw heads are in good condition with only slight marking to the mirror polished finish.
Case:
The case is made of Stainless Steel and measures 24mm wide x 24mm long, with a lug-to-lug measurement of 34.5mm. It is in good condition, having light scratches to the original finish.. The top of the case has a brushed finish, whilst the sides are polished.
Caseback:
The caseback is solid and screws into place. The main face has a brushed finish. It also has a polished finish falling away from the main face. There are some light surface scratches.
It is signed: Cartier, Automatique, with the serial number 0902XXXXX.
Bracelet:
The watch comes on its original Cartier Stainless Steel and 18ct gold screw bracelet. It has an 14mm lug width. It is signed Cartier, with the Cartier logo on the clasp. The bracelet will fit up to a 7” wrist diameter. It is in good condition. It has the code 0284. It has a good brushed finish.
Movement:
The movement inside is a Cartier 2670. It is an automatic movement, with a jewel count of 17. It has a hi-beat frequency of 28,800 and Incabloc shock protection. The Automatic rotor is engraved Cartier.
The movement history is unknown, but it appears to have been well kept and regularly serviced. The movement is very clean. It is keeping time to within +10 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 300 degrees and a beat error of 0.0m/s.
