An unusual and uncommonly seen model in Quartz. This is the same as the Tudor 9101 but with a quartz movement, which is an unusual quirk during a turbulent time for the watch industry.
This is a nice example from 1979 and is of excellent quality, it’s no wonder this model has seen a good increase in value in the last 5 years. The main body is a classic Oyster case, with Rolex signed screw down crown, with a 1980s twist. The case is larger in diameter at 38mm and there is a thick fluted bezel, with a chapter ring surrounding the silver dial to add depth to the watch. The acrylic crystal with cyclops is original, as is the grained sunburst silver dial with 3D applied batons and logos. The watch sits on an integrated Stainless-Steel bracelet, with heavy and chunky links. This is a comfortable and well-designed bracelet. Inside the Oyster screw back is an ESA 940.111 7 jewel quartz movement which is functioning very well and is in great cosmetic condition.
The watch has had a new battery fitted and its contacts cleaned. It is keeping good time and is cosmetically very clean inside.
A good example of an interesting watch to add to your collection.

The hour markers are applied champagne tone batons, which are raised with a laser etched finish, between mirrored finishes. These catch the light nicely. The Tudor shield logo is applied at 12 O’clock and is raised with a mirror finish. The dial is signed Tudor Prince-Quartz at 12 O’clock, with Oysterdate above 6 O’clock. Below 6 O’clock it is signed Swiss. The dial falls away in a faceted design to meet the date window. The date window is white with black Arabic numerals.
