1976 Timex Viscount Sportster Skin Diver Automatic watch, grey dial, 47671 03276.

This classic vintage Timex Viscount Skin Diver is from 1976 is in exceptional running and cosmetic condition. The Grey dial is beautiful, with Orange minute tracks.

This watch is 37mm across without the crown, and 18mm at the lugs which is considered “Jumbo” for Timex in this era. This watch can be worn in virtually any situation. It is extremely versatile.

Keeping time to +30 seconds a day with an amplitude of 270 and a beat error of 0.1 m/s. This is very good time keeping for such a watch, being Pin-lever with no jewels. The calibre is the M32 Automatic movement (with date) which is a workhorse of the Vintage Timex Automatic line. The power reserve is 38 hours. It does not have a “quickset” but the date works flawlessly.

This is an extremely good looking watch from the 1970s, with all the popular hallmarks of a "Skin Diver" watch. It is a fun and exciting watch that would take pride of place in a Timex collection, being a rare and desirable model, in very good condition. The dial has an excellent balance, with the light grey/silver bezel insert, framing the dark grey to light grey fade of the dial. The Orange minute track sits well against the dark grey outer bezel.
