For sale we have a good, original example of a 1972 Omega Geneve reference 1360098. It has a 35mm Stainless steel case, with a silver sunburst dial with date window. Inside is a manual wind calibre 613 movement, with quickset date function. It comes with its original leather Omega strap and its Stainless-Steel Omega buckle. The movement has been recently serviced.

The Silver sunburst dial has a clear graining which is visible in the light. The baton hour markers are a silver tone, with a polished finish and a black stripe to the centre. To the base of the hour markers are the original, aged Tritium lume plots. The Omega logo and signing is bright, in black, as well as the “Geneve” and “Swiss Made" signing. The condition is as good as you will find. The bevelled date window is clean, with black surround and the white disc with black Arabic numerals.

The hands are of luminous index style, with a mirror polished finish and black stripe to the centre.

The 35mm Stainless Steel case is in good, unpolished condition. It has a subtly bevelled top of the case, with straight, slightly tapered lugs. The sides of the case have a flat polished finish. The reference correct crown to the right-hand side is good, with coin edge finish and clear Omega logo. To the rear, the screwback has the original brushed finish to the face, with a polished outer section. Inside, it is signed with the reference 1360098. It has the “LL” mark for Louis Lang, who manufactured the case for Omega.

Inside, the calibre 613 movement is in very good cosmetic condition, with the rose gold tone finish remaining bright and even. It has been serviced by ourselves and is keeping accurate time within -20 seconds a day. It is a manual wind movement with a date function which is quickset.

Overall, this is a good original example, with the original strap and buckle. The dial is eye-catching and clean, making it a joy to wear.
