1970s Near NOS Certina dress watch with silver satin dial, Arabic numerals, cal. 25-66
The case is traditionally quite wide and long as associated with the 1970s at 35mm wide without crown, and 40mm lug to lug length.
The dial is in excellent condition with a silver satin finish. The Certina signing is in good condition with no wear. The stylised Arabic hour markers are applied and are in excellent condition with no signs of corrosion. The case is Chrome plated and is in very good condition for Chrome of this age. It has sharp edges, with polished sides and rear, with a sunburst grained finish on the bezel.
The case back is stainless steel. It is in good condition, with no dents, but some light surface scratching. It is signed Stainless Steel with the reference number 5202-149 and the case number 8540087.
The hands are original. They are silvered "baton" style hands, made of Stainless Steel. The Second hand has is also original. They are all in very good condition.
The crystal is the original acrylic example. It is in good condition. The crown is signed with the Certina symbol and is also original.
The movement is a calibre 25-66 from Certina. This movement was used between 1960-1975. It has 17 jewels and is manually wound, with shock protection.
The movement operates at 19,800 VPH. It has a power reserve of 46 hours. It has a daily gain of +20 seconds, with an amplitude of 275 and a beat error of 0.2m/s.
The strap is a recent replacement which is in good condition. It is an 18mm light brown Louisiana Crocodile Calf, RIOS1931.

Dial:
The dial is in excellent condition with a silver satin finish. The Certina signing is in good condition with no wear. The stylised Arabic hour markers are applied and are in excellent condition with no signs of corrosion.

The hands are original. They are silvered "baton" style hands, made of Stainless Steel. The Second hand has is also original. They are all in very good condition.

Caseback:
The case back is stainless steel. It is in good condition, with no dents, but some light surface scratching. It is signed Stainless Steel with the reference number 5202-149 and the case number 8540087. This is in good condition, with minimal wear, having never been polished.
Strap:
The strap is a recent replacement which is in good condition. It is an 18mm light brown Louisiana Crocodile Calf, RIOS1931. It will fit from a 6” wrist to a 8” wrist.
Movement:
The movement is a calibre 25-66 from Certina. This movement was used between 1960-1975. It has 17 jewels and is manually wound, with shock protection. The movement operates at 19,800 VPH. It has a power reserve of 46 hours.
The movement is in good condition for its age both cosmetically and in terms of function. Service history is unknown, but the time keeping and other figures are very good.
