Dial:
The dial is in excellent condition. It appears to have been refinished, but to a high standard.
It is black in colour, signed with the "Cauny" name at 12 o'clock.
The hours are indicated by bold Arabic numerals and baton hour markers inbetween, with seconds marked on the minute track with graduated markers between minute markers of 5, for 1/5 second measurement.
The Tachymeter scale passes around the edge of the dial, whilst there are two sub dials on the watch, one for measuring chronograph cycles up to 45 minutes, with the other, a constant sub second hand. All aspects of the dial are free of wear and clearly visible with no discolouration or wear.
Hands:
The hands are un-bent and un-corroded. They are white and red and contrast with the dial excellently. They appear to be refinished.
Glass:
The glass is original and in strong condition with a nice heavy crystal.
Crown:
The crown is original, signed with Star logo and fits flush to the case and winds and sets well.
Case:
The case is in strong condition with only light surface scratches that are consistent with age.
A very nice original case that hasn't been polished.
There is slight wear to the back of the case.
Case back:
Strong condition with multiple light surface scratches, original back with brand and logo.
Strap:
The watches strap is a 2omm racing style drivers strap with holes punched in it.
Movement:
The movement is a manual wind Valjoux 7733 chronograph movement. Working excellently,
keeping time to within -10 seconds a day with an amplitude of 310 degrees and 0 beat error.
