1970s 18ct Baume & Mercier Baumatic dress watch, Datejust style, BM 13210 Buren.

This is a beautiful Baumatic, which was imported into the UK via Birmingham Assay office in 1974. The case is solid 18ct gold and has a fantastic coin edge bezel, and coin edge case back. This, combined with the simplistic Champagne dial and gold hour markers and hands, make this watch an incredibly attractive dress watch.

Much like the Rolex Datejust in it's design, with Baume & Merciers own touches, such as the micro-rotor, to create a very thin case, which sits very elegantly on the wrist.

This is a very crisp example, with no real signs of ageing. It has a personal engraving on the back which is a shame, but this is nicely done and shows it's history.

Recently serviced, It is keeping time to within +30 seconds a day.
