For sale we have an understated and classic dress watch from Omega dating to 1966. It is a 34.25mm Rose gold plated variation of the reference 131.019, with rose gold tone applied arrow hour markers, omega logo and hands. The dial has a silver sunburst finish which catches the light beautifully and is in brilliant condition. It is simply signed Omega, with Swiss made to the base. The dial is protected by the original crystal with Omega etching to the centre.

The rose gold-plated case is neat, with a slim profile at 8mm deep. It hugs the wrist well with its straight tapered lugs and 39.25mm lug-to-lug measurement. It has a polished finish with no wear to the plate. To the right is the original Omega signed crown.

The case back is snap on and is stainless steel with a brushed finish. Inside it is signed Omega, with markings for gold plate and stainless steel, with the reference 131.019.

Inside is the Omega cal 601 movement which dates to 1966 and has the classic rose gold tone finish from the period. It is shock proof and marked as adjusted to two positions. The plating has a lovely tone. It has recently been serviced and is keeping time to within 15 seconds variation a day.

Overall, this is a well-proportioned and slim dress piece from Omega. The clean dial with rose gold accents and silver sunburst finish is understated and elegant. The rose gold tone case is rarer and has a warmth which makes it much preferred to yellow gold. With a dependable cal 601 movement inside, this is a beautiful dress piece that can also be used as a classic daily wear.
