Some watches are so good, when you get the chance to offer them again, you take it. We sold this watch in January of 2021 and purchased it back off the owner when he was looking to thin out his collection.
This is a lovely 1964 Tudor Prince Oysterdate with small rose logo. The dial on this watch is excellent and is in very good condition. The applied hour markers at 6, 9 and 12 are unusual, with a bronze tone strip to the centre. This balances the dial beautifully with the date window and cyclops at 3 O’clock. The silver sunburst finish is also eye catching.
The handset is of Lance style and is original with a silver tone. The acrylic crystal is original and is in very good condition with cyclops magnifier at 3 O’clock. The crown is signed with the Rolex Crown, with the Case being a traditional Oyster style. The case and crown were the same as the Rolex Oysterdate during this period. This case measures 35mm across and 37.5mm with the crown.
The automatic calibre 2462 movement was serviced by ourselves 18 months ago and is still keeping excellent time, within -15 seconds a day.
The watch is presented on a good Debeer Europa Lizard grain strap, with a Stainless-Steel Rolex buckle.
Please see the images as these compliment and aid the condition report provided below.

The other hour markers are long dashes, with small dashes inbetween representing the minutes or seconds.
The dial is signed Tudor Prince Oysterdate with the small rose logo below 12 O’clock. Above 6 O’clock the dial is signed Rotor Self-winding, with the dial marked Swiss below 6 O’clock.
