For sale we have a circa 1964 Omega ladies dress watch in a neat Stainless-Steel case. It has an unusual Singer custom dial with black painted hands and black painted raised Arabic numerals. It has the case reference 511.021 and has a calibre 620 movement inside which is in excellent condition with rose gold tone. The case measures 24mm x 24mm.

 

The neat circular case is Stainless Steel and has a polished finish and straight facetted lugs. The lugs taper to mould to the wrist. The dished case back has a brushed face with polished sides. This is a very neatly designed case which reflects the light playfully. To the right of the case is the original Omega signed crown with coin edge finish.

 

The dial is in excellent condition and was made by Singer, who provided custom dials for Omega watches. This dial has a silver satin base tone, with unusual black painted Arabic numerals. The dash minute markers are neatly positioned around the exterior of the dial. The hands are of a Pencil style and are painted black.

 

The watch is on a 14mm genuine leather strap with a Stainless-Steel buckle which is era correct and is Omega signed.

 

The movement is an Omega calibre 620. It is a high-grade movement which is manual wind. It has a frequency of 19,800 BPH with a power reserve of 42 hours and Incabloc shock protection. The service history is unknown, but the movement is in excellent condition cosmetically and functionally. It has a daily variation of + or - 4 seconds a day.

 

Overall, this is a very clean and considered piece of design from Omega. It would be an ideal watch for dress, or everyday wear.

The acrylic crystal is a replacement and is in good condition with some slight marks.

 

Crown:

The crown is original and is in good condition with Omega logo signed.

 

Case:

The case is Stainless Steel and is circular with a polished finish and straight facetted lugs. It has light surface scratching associated with age.

 

Caseback:

The case back is Stainless Steel and is in good original condition. It has a brushed face with polished sides. It has light surface scratching associated with age.

 

Strap:

The watch is on a 14mm genuine leather strap. The buckle is Stainless and is Omega signed.

 

Movement:

The movement is an Omega calibre 620. It is a high-grade movement which is manual wind. It has a frequency of 19,800 BPH with a power reserve of 42 hours and Incabloc shock protection.

 

The service history is unknown, but the movement is in excellent condition cosmetically and functionally. It has a daily variation of + or - 4 seconds a day with an amplitude of 260 degrees and a beat error of 1.4m/s.
