1961 Smiths Astral model T365 watch, with linen finish dial, cal 27.CS 17 jewels.
 
A very rare reference of Smiths Astral with an extremely beautiful dial. Certainly one for the Smiths collector, or anyone after a beautiful dress which with a high quality English movement.
 
It is keeping time to within +20 seconds a day. There are further details below.

Dial:
A beautiful linen finish dial. Very rare.
 
There are some scratches near the centre where the hands are mounted.
 
Hands:
The hands are original and have no signs of wear or corrosion. 
 
Glass:
The crystal has some light surface scratches, but it is in good condition.
 
Crown:
The original crown. It has some signs of wear.
 
Case:
The case has wear to the gold plating, this is visible in the photos. This is a shame, but really doesn't detract from the beauty of the dial.
 
Caseback:
Stainless steel. Maintains original graining still, light surface scratching.
 
Strap:
A new 16mm genuine leather strap.
 
 
Movement:
Beautiful Smiths calibre 27.CS, 17 jewel variant. Keeping time to +20 seconds a day with an amplitude of 250 and a beat error of 1.7m/s.
