1950s Tressa dress watch manual wind, gold plated, FEF 290, excellent condition.
 
A beautiful dress watch in excellent condition. At 34mm x 34mm it is an excellent addition to a collection for a mid size vintage dress watch. The standout sunburst dial is in excellent condition.

Dial:
The sunburst dial is in near perfect condition for it's age. There is some lightening of the finish surrounding the
applied gold logo in the centre of the dial below 12.
Overall this dial is in excellent condition for the watches age.
 
Hands:
The hands are original and free of bending and corrosion. The sub-second hand is original too.
All in near perfect condition.
 
Glass:
The crystal is in good condition but it does have some light surface scratches.
These only notice in specific lights and can be polished.
 
Crown:
Original gold plated crown with some wear to the finsh.
 
Case:
In good condition but with multiple very light surface scratches, gold plated case. Some minor wear on the tips of two lugs, 
but in much better condition than most from this age.
 
Caseback:
The case back is stainless steel and has multiple very light surface scratches.
 
Strap:
A new 20mm genuine leather strap.
 
Movement:
A FEF 290 movement with 15 jewels. 
Keeping time to within +70 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 210 degrees and a beat error of 1.2 m/s.
Service history is not known, but the watch has also keep time to around +60-70 seconds a day in wear on the wrist, 
intermittently over a time of 4 weeks.
