1950s Benrus Penneys Series 2155 watch BH25 (ETA 1081) movement Co-brand vintage watch.
A beautiful 1950s Benrus wrist watch that has a good case size at 34mm x 34mm, with charming arrow and Arabic alternating hour markers. The dial boasts the co-signing with the Penneys name on it, referring to the department store in the US, JC Penney. The dial has a handsome patina from the Radium lume.
This watch is in good overall condition, with the only notable element being the replacement crown.
This crown is not the correct tone, but is era correct and is signed Benrus. The movement is keeping time to approximately +30 seconds a day. Service history is unknown.

The dial is a silver base colour which has turned into a champagne tone with the aging of the watch. There are some signs of Radium burns from the hands on the dial, pointing towards 11 o clock and 5 o clock. Overall it is in good condition with original lumed hour markers and numerals, as well as clear signing on the dial.
The hands are original Syringe style hands with pumpkin coloured radium lume in-fill. There are little signs of corrosion on the silver coloured hands. Slight lume degradation on one hand.
The is a replacement that fits the dimensions of the watch well. Some light surface scratching.
Stainless crown, signed Benrus but not original to the model due to the colour difference. Period correct.
The gold plated case is in very good condition with only light surface scratching. There is no wear through of the plating, or deep nicks.
The case back is Stainless Steel and is in very good condition, with only light surface scratching.
A new 16mm genuine leather strap.
The watch is not serviced and service history is unknown. The watch is keeping time to +30 seconds a day with a 240 degree amplitude and a beat error of 0.6 m/s.
