1950 Omega Seamaster 2576-14 bumper automatic cal 342 Clover crown and Arabic 9 12 3.
The classic Stainless Steel case is a beautiful size, measuring 34.5mm x 34.5mm. It seats neatly on the wrist with its sloping lugs and polished silver bezel. The acrylic crystal is original, in excellent condition, with the Omega logo etched at the centre of the crystal, visible in certain lights.
The Clover style crown is also original and is in excellent condition. This particular crown is such an un-usual design and makes this model stand out.
The case appears to have been sympathetically polished, but is in very good condition. It has no nicks or large scratches.
The dial has beautiful aspects of design, with the Arrow hour markers, Arabic numerals at 9,12 and 3, and the radium lume plot at 6 O'clock below the sub-second dial. The original Radium lume in-fill remains on all markers. The Arabic 9,12,3 are gilt painted on the dial. The base dial tone is champagne with a lacquered finish.
Sadly It has significant patina overall which would be acceptable, however there is degradation of the lacquered finish. This is near the top of the dial between 12 O'clock and 1 O'clock. There are also some white spots to the sub-second dial.
The hands are original to the model. They are silvered Luminous Dauphine style hands, made of Stainless Steel. They are in very good condition, with no corrosion, marking or bending. They maintain the original lume in-fil.
The movement is a calibre 342 from Omega. It is has 17 jewels and is a bumper automatic. This movement was only produced from 1948-1950 and was the first movement used in the first line of Omega Seamaster watches. The movement is in good condition for its age.
The service history is unknown, but the time keeping and other figures are good, with a daily gain of +5 seconds.
The watch is on a brand new strap. The strap is a dark Brown, Genuine Leather strap from Geckota with a suede finish, which has a non Omega stainless steel buckle.

Dial:
This is the original dial. It has a beautiful design with Arrow hour markers and Arabic 9,12,3 signing. All original lume remains on the arrow markers and the squares at 12, 3, 6 and 9. The Champagne dial with lacquered finish is in average-poorer condition. It has significant patina overall which would be acceptable, however there is degradation of the lacquered finish. This is near the top of the dial between 12 O'clock and 1 O'clock. There are also some white spots to the sub-second dial.
Hands:
The hands are original to the model. They are silvered Luminous Dauphine style hands, made of Stainless Steel. They are in very good condition, with no corrosion, marking or bending. They maintain the original lume in-fil.
Glass:
The crystal is an original Omega acrylic crystal. It has the Omega logo etched to the centre. It is in very good condition.
Crown:
The crown is the original Clover style Omega crown, correct for this model. It is in excellent condition, with very minimal wear.
Case:
The case is Stainless Steel and is in very good condition, maintaining its circular grained finish. It has polished edges. There are some light surface scratches.
Caseback:
The case back is stainless steel. It is in very good condition, with no dents and only light surface scratching.
Strap:
The strap is a dark Brown, Genuine Leather strap from Geckota with a suede finish, which has a non Omega stainless steel buckle. It is brand new.
Movement:
The movement is a calibre 342 from Omega. It is has 17 jewels and is a bumper automatic. The movement is in good condition for its age. Service history is unknown, but the time keeping and other figures are good. It has a daily gain of +5 seconds, with an amplitude of 250 and a beat error of 0.1 m/s.
