1947 Omega Oversized Stainless Steel dress watch 2317/15 30T2-PC, All original.

A silvered dial with a gloss finish with slight graining underneath. This is original and has not been re-finished.

The case is slightly oversized for the time, at 34.7mm x 34.7mm. This is the smaller of the two sizes of 30T2-PC cases.

The dial is beautifully laid out with gilt Arabic numerals. These are separated by dot markers which are raised and in a gilt colour. These match the dome design of the crown very well.

The crown is original. Omega did not sign all crowns at this point of time, especially on dress watches. For design purposes they will have favoured the more exotic and fancy design with thin milled edge and small dome. This is correct for some of the 30T2-PC models in the late 1940s.

The movement is a calibre 30T2-PC from 1947. It is clean with no serious marking to the rose gold finish of the movement.

It is keeping time to within -40 seconds a day. Overall this is a clean and honest example, with an excellent original dial and rare original crown. Many have been replaced with Omega signed 1950s crowns.
