A stunning 1940s Zenith Chronograph watch, with cal 133 movement in a solid 14ct gold case. It has a beautiful Champagne dial and thermally Blued hands, with a modest yet classy case size of 33mm. Overall the condition is excellent, with the face worth particular mention for its great condition. The watch runs well, measured on a timegrapher and during daily wear. It loses 40 seconds on average a day, with an amplitude of 236 degrees and a beat error of 3.5 m/s.

NOTE: One lug is 0.25mm out, 6 o clock, left hand side. This can easily be put back into position.

Dial:

The dial is in excellent, original condition. It is a Light champagne or gold tone dependent on the lighting.

It is signed with the Zenith name at 12 o'clock.

The hours are indicated by Art Deco style Arabic numerals, with seconds marked on the minute track with graduated markers between minute markers of 5, for 1/5 second measurement.

The Tachymeter scale passes around the edge of the dial, whilst there are two sub dials on the watch, one for measuring chronograph cycles up to 45 minutes, with the other, a constant sub second hand. All aspects of the dial are free of wear and clearly visible with no discolouration.

Hands:

The hands are un-bent and un-corroded. They are thermally blued and are original, fitting the margins of the watch well. The baton hands are incredibly slim and classy, this is the ultimate dress watch to impress.

Glass:

The Plexi-glass crystal is in perfect condition with no marks, scratches or dents.

Crown:

The crown is original and has a beautiful coin edge, fitting flush to the case.

Case:

The case is in strong condition with only light surface scratches that are consistent with age. There are some deeper marks where the bezel of the watch is lifted of with an instrument, along with a slide marking where the case back meets the case, between the lug at 6 o'clock, where the back is opened to expose the movement. This is normal for gold cases as they are soft. A very nice original case that hasn't been polished.

Case back:

Strong condition with multiple light surface scratches, but no dents or gouges.

Lugs:

The lugs are male and take female spring bars. Gold coloured female springbars are already fitted.

NOTE: One lug is 0.25mm out, 6 o clock, left hand side. This can easily be put back into position.

Strap:
The watches strap is a leather, two piece strap.

Movement:
The movement is a manual wind Zenith cal. 136, 17 jewel chronograph movement. The watch runs well, measured on a timegrapher and during daily wear. It loses 40 seconds on average a day, with an amplitude of 236 degrees and a beat error of 3.5 m/s.
