Here we have a beautiful Art Deco piece from Omega, dating to 1938. It is the reference CK615 which has the Scarab lug design extending from the case. The silver dial has patination with age and is a silver sector dial, with the clear arabic numerals and in-set sub-seconds register. The hands are of leaf style with the thermally blued finish. The sub-second hand is a beautiful sword design in the thermally blued tone. To the right is the domed crown with the coin edge finish. The case back snaps on tightly and has the brushed finish. It has a Danish engraving to the original owner, Georg. Inside it has the Omega signing and serial number. The movement is an Omega calibre 26.5 SOB which has a jewel count of 15 and is manually wound. It is keeping time to within 2 minutes a day.

The dial is a clean and classic sector layout in the silver tone. It has a speckled patination associated with age. It has the railroad minute track around the exterior with the outer sector having the bold Arabic numerals. The inner sector intercepts with the sub-second register and has the Omega signing and logo below 12. The sub-second dial is inset with the grained concentric circles adding texture. It is a simple dash second track with the single second dashes and 15 second Arabic graduations. The sub-second hand is a beautiful sword style, with the thermally blued finish. The hour and minute hands are of leaf style and have the bright thermally blued finish.

The case, strictly speaking is petite at 30.75mm wide. The crown extend the width to 33.3mm. The case length sits at just under 34mm with the scarab lugs extending and adding presence with the 41.3mm total lug-to-lug length.

The case is formed of stainless steel with the bevelled bezel. The sides of the case are flat with the polished finish. The lugs extend in a block from the centre of the case, with the scarab sections either side, angled downwards to ensure a comfortable wear on the wrist.

The case back has the brushed finish with the personal engraving, to the original owner, Georg, who was Danish judging by the spelling and associated text. Inside the case is marked with the Omega name and serial number.

The movement is an Omega calibre 26.5 SOB which has a jewel count of 15 and is manually wound. It has been recently serviced (not by us, so no warranty) but is keeping time to within 1 ½ to 2 minutes variaiton a day.

The watch is modelled on a 7” wrist circumference.
