The dial is enamel and is in excellent original condition. The dial has Roman Numerals for the hour markers. The dial displays two sub dials at 12 and 6, the top of which measures the chronograph minutes up to 30 minutes. The bottom sub dial displays the constant sub-second timing.
The dial has a scale around the exterior in red. It is marked "Miles Per Hour From 1/4 Mile Distances", measuring from 15 mph - 100 mph. This indicates this pocket watch may have had a sporting/motor racing application.

The hands are original and are in very good condition. The hour hand is Spade style. All hands are thermally blued and maintain a deep blue tone, with little to no corrosion. The hands, alongside the condition of the dial, make this Chronograph particularly pleasing.

The case is sterling silver and is in excellent condition, measuring 50mm x 50mm. The case has an excellent shine, but has not been polished. The case hinges are in excellent condition, functioning perfectly, with no slack.
The case back is in excellent condition, with hallmarking for imported silver to Birmingham assay office in 1928/29. The inside of the case back is in very good condition. The hallmarks are clearly visible and have not worn. There is light surface scratching and some old service etchings.

The inner hinged movement cover is in good condition on the outer side. The inside is in excellent condition with peerlage finish. The hallmarking and case numbers match and they are clear.

The movement is Swiss made and is a column wheel chronograph movement. It is signed "Official" with the numbers "342 414" by the balance wheel. This is an exceptionally well finished movement, in fact we would say the best finished Pocket watch Chronograph we have seen.

The movement has some key signs of the high grade finishing found in Haute Horology finishing. The movement has extremely well executed Cotes de Geneve motif, with peerlage finishing underneath the balance wheel. The main components also have an angular finish, rather than straight, on the edges.

Overall this pocket watch is in excellent condition and will make an ideal addition to a collection due to it's high quality movement and pleasing and clean design.
