1920s Longines Tiffany & Co 14ct gold tank watch, dating to 1923, matching case number and serial number on the movement. The movement has been serviced. This is a very pretty Art Deco tank watch from 1922 by the quality maker Longines.
 
The movement dates to 1922 and the serial number matches the case number. The case is 14ct solid gold and is in very good condition. The dial has been restored to an excellent quality. The watch has a Sapphire Cabochon crown.
 
The watch has recently been serviced and is keeping time to -3 seconds a day.
 
Whether the dial was originally Tiffany signed is un-certain as it's impossible to tell with the age.

Dial:
The dial would appear to have been restored in recent years, but to an excellent standard, with the Longines signing matching an Egyptian style Art Deco font. The Tiffany & Co signing is also an excellent mate to the brand font. Whether the dial was originally Tiffany signed is un-certain as it's impossible to tell with the age. Regardless it is a very well executed restoration of a dial, on a charming watch.
 
Hands:
The hands are original and free of bending and corrosion. In excellent condition and thermally blued.
 
Glass:
The crystal is in very good condition but it does have some light surface scratching.
 
Crown:
A beautiful Sapphire Cabochon crown with a coin edge, in excellent condition.
 
Case:
A case that is in good condition. There are multiple light surface scratches with are consistent with the watches age. There are no deep scratches, gouges or dents. The watch remains un-polished.
 
Caseback:
In good condition for the age with multiple light surface scratches consistent with age, but none of these are deep.
 
Strap:
A new 16mm Hirsch strap.
 
Movement:
A beautiful and high grade Longines movement, recently serviced. Keeping time to within -3 seconds a day, with a strong amplitude of 280 degrees and a beat error of 0.1 m/s.
