A very pretty 1920/30's Art Deco Silver JW Benson Tonneau watch. The case measures 26mm W x 33mm H. The red 12 and stylised Arabic numerals make this watch so appealing.
 
Dial: 
The dial is in good condition for the watches age. The dial is enamel and it has no cracks, chips or hairline fractures. The text on the dial, the sub-second track and the minute and hour track are all clear, with only slight age related marks. Some of the numerals have a couple of age related marks. Overall a good dial.
 
Hands:
The hands are original and fit the margins of the watch well. They are all thermally blued, with the hour and minute hand being in "Breguet" style.
 
Glass:
The glass is original and in strong condition. It does have light surface scratching and is slightly dirty around the edges.
 
Crown:
The crown is original, functioning properly and fitting flush to the case. This is a nice onion crown.
 
Case: 
The case is Silver and is in goodcondition with only light surface scratches that are consistent with age. It has some tarnishing of the silver which can be cleaned, but has been left as it suits the age nicely. A very nice original case that hasn't been polished.
 
Case back:
Strong condition with multiple light surface scratches which are consistent with age.
 
Strap:
The watches strap is a new leather strap.
 
Movement:
The movement is a manual wind calibre. It keeps time to within +75 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 259 and a beat error of 0.4ms.
