Here we have an uncommon early example of a Patek Philippe wristwatch. It has the white enamel dial with railroad minute track and black Breguet style numerals. It proudly boasts the long Patek Philippe signing below 12 and is triple signed with the further signing to the case and movement. It displays just the hours and minutes with the thermally blued spade and whip handset. The case is formed of 14ct gold and is the classic design with hinged bezel and double hinged case back. It measures just over 28mm wide with the lug-to-lug length of 40.8mm. To the right-hand side is the beautiful onion style crown and to the top and bottom are the hinged lugs. The case back has the engine turned finish, with radial sunburst design and inside it has the PP.Co signing, case serial number 279946 and 0.585 fineness mark. The inner back is engraved with the Patek name and serial number 178182. The movement is the manually wound Patek Philippe Calibre 10’’’, with 17 jewels. It has been recently serviced and is keeping accurate time. To complete the watch, creating a more robust yet elegant package, we have had a custom Alligator bund strap designed just for this watch. It is an excellent design of integrated and streamlined bund strap, only used by this artisan and custom created for the dimensions of this Patek. We have had a period 9ct rose gold buckle sewn onto the end, perfectly rounding off the design. The ends of the strap loop around the lugs and fix in place with the fold over metal tabs.
