Here we have a beautiful Circa 1880s Antique Scottish Citrine Sterling silver bangle. It showcases a large natural Citrine of around 15 carats. The gemstone has a golden orange tone, with dark pools to the edges. The Citrine is set within a beautiful and detailed surround, into a tall, scalloped crown mount, which lifts the stone, allowing the light to interact with the stone.
The hand engraving is beautifully executed. It has the floral scroll engraving to the shoulders, with the banded pattern to either side flowing the whole way round.
The circular section to the top has the zig zag pattern to the edge, with the floral wave pattern in the middle and the repeated arch pattern to the inside. Quality only seen in such stunning antique pieces. It is unmarked, but tests as sterling silver.
It has the pushes together and conjoins tightly, clipping. It releases with the push slide to the side.
The overall condition can be described as good antique condition. It is missing the end of four of the claws which hold it in place. It has light marking and scratching associated with age and wear. The section that sets the Citrine is somewhat loose but is secure.
The bracelet will fit up a 6.75” wrist circumference.
