Fears Ltd of Bristol, Nickel Pocket watch, Open face, Great condition, working. A really excellent example, in great condition. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
The case is nickel and is in great condition with only light surface scratching.
The Enamel face is in near perfect condition. There is no wear to the face, with all Roman numerals and minutes and seconds tracks intact. Swiss made is signed clearly at the bottom of the dial under the sub second dial. The dial is marked "Fears LTD Bristol Eng."
There is some slight build up of dirt visible near where the hands meet the face at the centre. There is also light dirt marking on the sub second dial.
The hands appear originally are are gorgeously thermally blued.
The movement is clean with the regulator in a neutral position, keeping good time. The hairspring looks nicely coiled. The movement is marked "Swiss Made" "7 Jewels".
The glass appears original and is in perfect condition.
The Crown winds and functions as it should.
Overall this is a great example. I am a Fear's watch collector myself and have had this in my collection for some time. I hope it goes to another collector. Please message me if you need any more details.
The watch is vintage so will not keep time in the same way that a modern watch or a quartz watch will.
However it's time keeping is very acceptable for a vintage piece.
It currently runs approximately +60 seconds fast a day.
